We’re excited to announce a training session on the Independent Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Ombudsman Program (IDDO), established under New York State Mental Hygiene Law § 33.28 in 2023. The IDDO offers independent advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.
In December 2024, the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) appointed the Community Service Society of New York (CSSNY) to lead the IDDO, which operates independently of OPWDD and other government entities.
