We are thrilled to announce that the 37th annual Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day (DD Day) is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the Niagara Falls Convention Center. This event has grown into the largest of its kind in Western New York, featuring keynotes, entertainment, an art room, a vendor fair, awards, a Healthy You corner, and much more. It’s a celebration of the incredible work done by individuals, parents, and professionals across the region.

Keynote Speaker: Keah Brown

We are honored to announce that Keah Brown, a renowned disability rights activist, author, and journalist, will be our keynote speaker. Keah is the creator of the viral hashtag #DisabledAndCute, which promotes body positivity and self-acceptance for disabled individuals. Her work has been featured in esteemed publications such as Teen Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire UK, and The New York Times. In 2019, she published her debut essay collection, The Pretty One: On Life, Pop Culture, Disability, and Other Reasons to Fall in Love with Me, offering candid insights into her experiences as a Black woman with cerebral palsy. citeturn0search0
