DDAWNY is introducing a new format for its 2026 Candidate Interview Series, formerly known as Candidates Hour.
The Candidate Interview Series provides New York State Congressional, Senate and Assembly candidates with an opportunity to share their perspectives on issues important to individuals and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the organizations that support them.
This year, rather than holding a live event, DDAWNY will conduct recorded interviews with participating candidates. The interviews will be combined into one program featuring all participants, with individual clips also available for DDAWNY and candidates to share.
Interviews will be moderated by Jeff Paterson, Chair of the DDAWNY Government Affairs Committee.
This new format will provide DDAWNY members and the broader developmental disability community with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about issues that matter to the people and families they may represent.
