Thank you to everyone who joined us for the DDAWNY Summer Membership Meeting and Luncheon on Tuesday, August 26 at Tewksbury Lodge in Buffalo. The event was a great success, bringing together over 60 members and committee chairs for an afternoon of learning, collaboration, and connection.

Our keynote speaker, Jeff Wozer, kept the room both laughing and thinking with his engaging presentation, “Stay Connected, Not Consumed.” His insights on digital well-being reminded us how important it is to strike a balance between productivity, health, and technology.

We were also fortunate to hear from Michael A. Lawler, Chief Program Officer at the NY Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation, who provided a timely and thoughtful update on how federal funding changes may impact New York State.

The afternoon didn’t end there—our event was followed by a fun and well-attended happy hour at Resurgence Brewing, co-sponsored with Person Centered Services. It was the perfect opportunity for continued networking in a more casual setting.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that our next membership meeting will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Batavia Downs, featuring Commissioner Willow Baer from OPWDD as our guest speaker. We hope you’ll join us for another engaging and informative event!

We’re grateful to all who participated and helped make the day such a success. Your engagement strengthens our alliance and ensures we continue to move forward together.
